We believe in the magic of radio.

Sure, the digital age has brought forth revolutionary new ways to access music, but here at Slacker, we believe in involving actual human beings in the streaming experience. For the past decade, we've produced hundreds (thousands?) of weekly original countdowns, artist-hosted specials, and highly curated, personality-driven shows.

The people behind the voices on Slacker build deep relationships with listeners, telling stories, sharing history, news, and opinions, and helping them discover music they'd never dream of looking for on their own.

We believe that the voices between the songs matter just as much as the music itself, which is why we're inviting YOU to the party.

Slacker Studio is an extension of our core beliefs here at Slacker. It's a whole new way to blend the voices you care about with the music you love, express your personality, and connect with people who want to hear what you have to say.

Pick your favorite station and start listening. Find some interesting people to follow and you'll hear their voices between your songs. Want to listen to Today's Hits, but hear the voices of your best friends pop in after a few songs? You can do that. Want to listen to classical music but hear ABC News headlines and podcast comedy clips pop in after a few songs? You can do that. Want to hear mostly music or mostly talk? Yeah, you can do that too. YOU control the mix of songs and voices.

And there's more: Broadcast your own voice to your followers, and they'll hear your unique personality right alongside their favorite songs. Record up to :30 seconds of audio in Slacker Studio (we call that a "Break"), add custom images and comments, and then publish straight to your friends' streams. Want to share some music? Attach a song to a break. Record an intro, and share it with your friends or followers. Do you already produce short form audio because you're a podcaster or some other type of content creator?
